Group Drives

There are basically two ways of accessing the group drives of the psychology. One is by using the Neurocloud server and the other is by directly attaching the drive in Windows.

Depending on the network you are working from, the use of a VPN might be needed.

1. Access to the Group Drives

For usage a VPN access is necessary. A detailed manual and explanation of the VPN access can be found here.

❗️ Note: The group drives do not work with some versions of MS Internet Explorer. Please use Firefox, Chrome or Safari.

As a member of TU Dresden you can follow the instructions to mount the group drives in your file explorer.

Windows:
Genereal TU Dresden Network
Falkenbrunnen (NIC) Network

On the nic_austausch drive (commonly mounted as M:\), some folders have their own quotas:

Allgpsy 6 TB
BioPsy 1 TB
diffpsy 1 TB
entwpsy 4 TB
klinpsy 9 TB

All other working group folders are on the main drive (100 TB).

On the nic_projects drive (commonly mounted as P:\), the following project folders have their own quotas:

014 1 TB
015 1 TB
019 10 TB
023 1 TB
024 2 TB
025 8 TB
028 6 TB
029 6 TB
030 10 TB
031 5 TB
033 4 TB
034 4 TB
103 2 TB
211 6 TB
403 4 TB
418 2 TB
419 1 TB
420 1 TB
425 1 TB
427 1 TB
428 1 TB
429 3 TB
431 2 TB
432 1 TB
434 4 TB
444 1 TB
445 6 TB
446 3 TB

All other project folders are on the main drive (100 TB).

Accidentally deleted or overwritten files can be restored from snapshots of the drives. Snapshots are made according to the S2 rule:

In addition to snapshots, the drives are also mirrored and backed up to minimize the risk of data loss.
